The 30th North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics (NACCL-30) -- held at The Ohio State University on 9-11 March 2018 -- will be publishingthe usual NACCL Proceedings here as an online, freely accessible publication. It will be a Festschrift volume to celebrate the 77th birthday of NACCL-30 special guest, Professor James H-Y. Tai (戴浩一), senior foundig organizer of NACCL, formerly at The Ohio State University and currently at National Chung Cheng University.

In addition, the NACCL-30 organizers plan to prepare a smaller, selected volume to be part of the Frontiers in Chinese Linguistics (FICL) series that is published by Springer-Nature and Peking University Press. The FICL volume -- to be entitled, Chinese Linguistics: From the Field, From the Lab, and From the Armchair -- will be dedicated to Professor James H-Y. Tai (戴浩一).
